Key Lime Pie

This is a perfect desert for a summer gathering. Easily made in advance (and actually tastes better when very well chilled) this is a refreshing treat that's not too heavy after summer BBQ's. I use key limes when I can find them (Sprout's usually has them around August and September) but you can use regular limes just as easily. Be sure to serve this with plenty of fresh whipped cream. You will love it! *Although making this with middle schoolers was a bit of a gamble. As much as they say they like sour things (candies, etc.) some kids thought this pie was too sour for their liking. You may want to decrease the lime juice a bit if you are not into tang. I like tang so I like it just the way it's written.

My experience was i never made a pie or tasted a key lime pie before. We put too much key lime juice and zest. The key lime pie was amazingly delicious!! It was a little sour but i liked it and never tasted it!

It’s was my first time trying pie and the key lime pie was so delicious!Our kitchen did add too much key lime juice and zest but it was still delicious. It also was my first time zesting key limes

This was not my favorite dish because I’m pretty sure my kitchen added too much juice. We also used both key limes and limes because of the shortage of key limes which I think disrupted the flavor. It was a fun dish to prepare, even if I didn’t get to do much, and one of my moms favorite pies so I will for sure make it again. I like vesting limes, lemons, oranges, etc.

Although the key lime pie was a little sour, it was still really good considering it was my first time making it. One new experience I had while making this dish was making whipped cream from scratch. Some of my kitchen did not want all of their huge slice, so my other team members just got extra! It was really fun to work with my kitchen on this.

This was my first time eating and making Key Lime pie. Honestly, it was not my favorite dish. However, I had fun preparing the filling. It was fun and easy to make.

This was my first time making a pie from scratch, and I think that this experience was very exciting for me. Although I did not like the filling, I enjoyed eating the whipped cream and the pie crust. The filling was a little too tart for me. Next time I make key lime pie I probably will add 100% key lime juice instead of mostly lime juice.

The key lime pie was a solid desert. It was really good but I think that it was a little to sour. This was my first time making whip cream and a homemade pie crust. Overall, I had a great time with my kitchen making this lovely desert.

It was my first time making pie from scratch and it was amazing! I loved how my team worked very good together and our key lime pie was a success! The crust was very delicious and crunchy as well! I personally love tangy stuff so the filling was a perfect match for my taste buds!

I loved to make the key lime pie with my kitchen. I didnt like the pie that much becasue it was to sour, but it was an exquisite desert. Still I will try to make it at home just with alittle less juice and zest.

The taste of the filling was not my favorite but, I loved the crust and whipped cream.My experience was fun and exciting because it was my first time making key lime pie from scratch. It was my first time making home made whipped cream.

The Key Lime Pie was very creamy and had a very distinct tart taste. It was a easy recipe to follow. Our group Made it look good but had too much butter on the crust.

The key pie was the best pie I have ever had. It was sweet and sour at the same time. It was very delightful and wonderful to eat. Cooking with my kitchen was awesome as always. We had a lot of fun making this dish. We all put the same amount of effort into the dish and making it taste delicious. I learned how juice a key lime. I have never done that before in my 12 years. I had an amazing experience.

These key lime pies were amazing! At first it tasted sweet but than it got a little sour, to say the least it was still good. To make the key lime pie was pretty easy but it took a while to squeeze the key lime juice out. I learned how to cut a perfect piece of pie. All in all, this was awesome to make.

The Key Lime Pie was a really nice sweet dish. I could taste the lime and the whip cream together. My kitchen had a good time making this pie and would hope to make something like this again. This was my first time making a pie and I was glad to help other teams make theirs.

Making this pie was a lot harder than I imagined since Mrs. Raluy did it in only 10 minuets in the video and most likely less than that. I want to be 100% honest about this pie but I’ve got to say I did not agree with the filling, but the crust and wiped cream were magnificent. I gave the rest of the pie to my mom as a present and she loved it...... it’s just me who doesn’t like the filling since I have personally never been a fan of sour foods or candy.

When I normally eat key lime pie I don’t really care for it but when I tried the key lime pie we had made I was actually kinda liked it the only problem I had with it was the sourness I think my kitchen add to much lime juice instead of adding 1/2 cup I would of wanted to add 1/4 cup lime juice. Other wise enjoyed the pie crust,consistency, and how well my kitchen and I had worked together to make this wounderfull pie.

I loves this dish it had such a silky smooth texture and it was so good.My group and I all agree that we should have added less lime because it was a little bitter. Overall my group and I did a pretty good job. This was my first time making whipped cream from scratch. This was one of my favorite things I would make this dish again.

This is the best dish I have ever made. It was tangy, but sweet at the same time. It was delicious and I would make this dish again. My favorite part was zesting the key limes and making the whipped cream. I learned how to zest a key lime and I can't wait to make this dish again.

I Loved the Key Lime Pie. Their was just amount of zest that made it sweet but slightly tart. But Sadly are team made it was awesome but, I'm not a sweet person so too much sugar makes me fell not so great.

I loved the taste of the Key Lime pie it tasted so good but it was a little to sweet for me. I love using the mixer to blend all the ingredients together it was a great experience. I also learned on how to zest a key lime without cutting myself.

I loved the key lime pie, but the after taste was a little weird. My favorite part was squeezing all the key limes. Something I learned was how to make whipped cream. Overall the key lime pie was really good and I had a great experience.

It was really fun to make and i love how we get to play with the dough. My kitchen put too much olive oil but we fixed it by putting flour. The focaccia bread was crunchy and warm. I love the seasonings and the tomato.

The key lime pie wasn't my favorite but was fun to make. This was my second time in life to cook a pie and this was the better one. It was a wonderful recipe. This was the first time I ever got to make the crust of the pie. My kitchen and I had a small problem we added a little to much lemon juice but it was okay.

I really loved the Pie. The key lime was very jello like which was not that appetizing but the crust was very crunchy and tasty. It was very easy to make with great pay off but if you don't like jello like substances I wouldn't recommend it.

This dish wasn't my favorite.It was too sour for me. I really liked zesting the limes. I think since I don't really like pie this dish wasn't for me.
